We Write Code

Name: Dan Lemons

Role: Software Developer

Why do you love what you do?
The few main reasons why I love software development: I love being the author of the functionality being created. I like to think of writing code (in a lot of ways) is like writing a story. I like figuring out problems and coming up with solutions to those problems. When a project is finished, it’s a feeling of accomplishment to see the final work.

Favorite food? Tie between pizza and tacos.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy traveling, sightseeing, hiking, riding my bike, skateboarding (if my ankle allows it), going to live music shows/concerts, disc golfing and hanging out with my kids/family.

Dan has four lovely children!

What is an accomplishment you’re proud of?
An accomplishment I’m proud of is raising four beautiful/respectful children (obviously with the help of my loving wife). They have taught me so much in return, and they will continue doing so for the rest of my days.

What brought you to WWC?
I came to WWC for the opportunity of growth. Complacency has always been a fear of mine, and wanting to constantly evolve and gain knowledge has always been at the forefront of my desires.

Anything else we should know?
Born and raised in Des Moines, IA, I’m a regular at the local taco truck, I love music and I enjoy doing my own car repairs/maintenance (sometimes).

Of course, Dan also has a furry friend named Blue! She is a Siberian Husky and loves to run while Dan chases her!
