New Business Development Account Executive

As a New Business Development Account Executive, you are responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities around software development including; digital transformation, financial platforms, artificial intelligence, cloud migrations, content management systems, and customer or sales rep portals. You will focus on growing the We Write Code brand and services by researching and selling to prospective customers.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Sales activities include phone calls, discovery, web meetings, in-person meetings, networking, contract negotiations, and closing deals.
  • Knowing and understanding We Write Code’s suite of services and offerings.
  • Reviewing and learning about past and current projects to better describe to potential customers how we benefit their business.
  • Kickstarting the sales and process. You will need to be self-motivated to not only complete daily sales activities but to also use your passion and creativity to find paths to markets and revenue.
  • Staying current with the latest news and trends within the software development market.
  • Striving for complete customer satisfaction by offering outstanding service and support.

What you'll do

  • This is a trailblazing position; you will have the opportunity to build and identify the success criteria for this and future sales positions at We Write Code.
  • This position reports directly to the CEO and will work closely with him and other business partners with the goal of generating new revenue.
  • You will be the outward face of the company and will position yourself as a trusted, credible resource within the industry.

What you will need to bring to We Write Code

  • A proven history of sales success with at least five years of sales experience. Experience in the software industry and an existing network is preferred.
  • The highest level of integrity. We do things the right way and expect the same from every member of the company.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and close sales opportunities on a consistent basis, following a prescribed methodology.
  • Highly organized, and data-driven, with a demonstrated ability to accurately forecast sales results, and meet all sales goals with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to make professional presentations to customers and prospects and communicate complex technical issues in layman’s terms.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and dependable

This position will be full-time, but does not need to be in our physical Des Moines or Denver offices. However, we provide a very flexible work environment and schedule, so don’t let your other commitments hold you back.
