Delivery Lead

What you’ll do:

The Delivery Lead is a combination role of Project Manager and Business Analyst with the goal
of successfully delivering technology or business solutions to We Write Code clients. This role
ensures our projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and aligned with quality
standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project risks, and
communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders and internal teams. Additionally, the Delivery
Lead will serve as the bridge between business challenges and software solutions by
collaborating with stakeholders to analyze processes, gather requirements, and guide
development teams through the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define scope, set timelines, allocate resources, and develop detailed execution plans
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with project goals
  • Monitor costs, manage budgets, and optimize resource utilization
  • Identify potential risks, resolve issues proactively, and maintain project health
  • Provide regular updates, manage expectations, and facilitate decision-making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business needs, translate them into software requirements, and bridge communication between business units and software development teams.
  • Document functional specifications and user stories, support test planning, and lead
    user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business objectives

What you need:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Project Management and Business Analysis in the software development domain
  • Proven track record of creating detailed project plans, managing project budgets, and working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks including Scrum and Kanban
  • Proficiency with Jira and Trello, Asana, Monday.com, Confluence or ClickUp
  • Previous Scrum Master experience a huge plus
  • Experience gathering requirements from a variety of stakeholders, writing requirements, and user stories
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and strong communication skills
  • Experience with client facing teams and not only internal projects

Location and Hours:

This is a full-time, hybrid position in Des Moines, Iowa working in the office a minimum of two
days a week.
